while i walk, drive, and rest i think about the miracle of the human life that has been grown. full grown, or at least nearing full grown. her little skin and metatarsals, lungs and systems, habits and givings.
this part of the pregnancy is blessed with a husband's kind arm that helps me move from side to side in the night. it is blessed with putting things in their place to prepare for her arrival. it is blessed with a new kind of alert about what is around the bend.
comments are streaming in;
"you are pretty close right?"
"any day now?"
" do you need anything?"
it could be a while or it could be tomorrow. i just want her to grow. bones and alveoli, lashes and renal walls. come when she may....

DO you need anything? sometimes i forget to offer assistance because you are such an organized go getter.
come when she may, i can't wait.
this last part was always the hardest for me, but I sure admire your "come when she may" attitude! I was always doing whatever I could to go into labor! lol
You already have the right attitude about labor. It's SUCH a miracle. The whole process. I look forward to hearing how it goes!
those alveoli are key. most people forget that, and i'm pleased to see that you have not.
